Ration Book Year - Day 9

I have a confession.
I have watched some television.
I have eaten things that were not available in the war.
I have snuck onto youtube etc. whilst writing my blog.

And I am ashamed.
I am a failure.
I feel as if I have not only let myself down but my followers down.

However, If you still like me i will be calling this my 'black market moment'.

I hope that you will still let me continue on with this.

Thank you for following and I'm sorry if I let anyone down.

I am determined to turn this around and start afresh and authentic.

Thank you!

xx

  1. Don't worry about it! I mean, you've been watching TV, using your computer for like YEARS and it's almost impossible to totally cut them out of your life out of a sudden. Don't worry about these moments and don't give up if you still want to continue doing this! I'm still following you, so don't worry about it either hahaha

  2. Ahhh pet, don't worry about it! It must be ridiculously hard not watch TV and etc when you are after all a modern lass, why not just ration it to an hour a day or something, that way you don't miss out on what is going on in the world, and there is no need to feel guilty!

My mum was a war baby she and her aunties used to go to the cinema every saturday to watch the cartoons and News and then the main feature, as it was cheap and kept them out of the house for a few hours! So I am sure you could watch a few films at home (with the lights off :)) to keep you sane and not be breaking your wartime pledge:) XXX

    1. Aww thank you for understanding as well! Yes! I think I will definitely be doing that, and Call The Midwife is on soon (once a week) so i could count that as my film when it's on and when it finishes i can watch films once a week!
